Black tilapias belong to the Cichlidae family and are often marketed as "freshwater porgies" due to their resemblance to fish from the Sparidae family. However, black tilapia are highly salt-tolerant and can live in brackish or even seawater. Therefore, it isn't entirely impossible for someone to catch a "freshwater porgy" from the ocean.
